Authorities say 50-year-old Elizabeth Betancourt was hit by a vehicle on Route 23 in the Town of Roxbury.

According to state police, the woman was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, 53-year-old Yamir Betancourt.

Investigators say Mr. Betancourt drifted over the center yellow line of the roadway and overcorrected. He lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to fall.

Elizabeth Betancourt fell into the path of a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Isaac Abramchayev of Queens.

Elizabeth Betancourt was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband was treated at the scene for abrasions to his right knee and left forearm. He required no additional medical attention.

Police say Abramchayev was not hurt.
