A winter storm warning continues for the WNBF listening area until 7 tomorrow morning.  Weather Conditions vary around the area.  Streets around downtown Binghamton are wet but have no snow cover.  Higher elevations report a whitening of the ground to a couple of inches of snow and in northern Broome County and further north hazardous driving conditions exist.

Speaking on this morning's Binghamton Now program with Bob Joseph on WNBF National Weather Service meteorologist David Nicosia says extremely dangerous driving conditions exist on Interstate 81 between Whitney Point and Watertown.  Nicosia says an area just south of Syracuse has reported 13 inches of snow and that Route 81 south near Lafayette has been shutdown due to icy driving conditions.

In the Greater Binghamton area Nicosia says there is still the potential of 4 to 8 inches of snow today through tonight with more possible in higher elevations.  Winds can also gust as high as 33 miles an hour today.
