Windsor Man is Accused of Growing Marijuana

A Windsor man is accused of growing marijuana in his home on State Line Road that could be accessed by a 15 year old child.

38 year old Donald Lake III is charged with unlicensed growing of cannabis, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Authorities say they found plants inside and outside the home in various stages of growth, grow lights and other pot farming items.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says the marijuana grow room was open and accessible to the teen who lives at the home.

A New York State Office of Children and Family Services hotline report had been made on behalf of the 15 year old.

Lake was ordered to appear in Town of Windsor Court at a later date.
