Windham, Pa. House Destroyed by Fire

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home and shed in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

The fire on Battle Creek Road in Windham Township, just south of the New Yoork State border in Nichols, was reported at around 12:30 yesterday afternoon.

No one was home at the time.

Fire officials had to call in tankers and additional personnel.  Over a half dozen fire companies responded to the scene.

The house, a nearby shed and a car were all declared a total loss.

Initial reports indicate firefighters had speculated that the blaze looked suspicious but, again, the cause is still being investigated.
