Central New York is bracing for another round of strong winds as a cold front sweeps through Wednesday, March 8.

The National Weather Service put out a wind advisory from noon until midnight for most of New York State with a chance of wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour.

New York State Electric and Gas says it is also bracing for the high winds as gusts could blow down tree limbs and a few power outages could result.

Residents were being told to make sure they secure objects that could be blown around causing a hazard and drivers, as always, advised to keep a firm grip on the steering wheel.

For motorists in neighborhoods, be aware of garbage day for some with the potential of trash and garbage receptacles blowing into the road.
