Section 4 Football Championship battles begin November 6 at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium as the Johnson City Wildcats meet the undefeated Maine-Endwell Spartans.

Normally any undefeated season is a major milestone but unbeaten in over four years and riding a 60 game winning streak....that's an entirely different story.  The Spartans have won four consecutive state championships.  The Wildcats would love to end that streak on the turf in Binghamton.

Johnson City won its semi-final game over Vestal while M-E topped Union-Endicott to advance to the championship round.  In the regular season the Spartans topped the Wildcats at Spartan Stadium 45-30.

The Wildcats rely on the running game with two standout backs in Dominic Nadz and Shafeeq Hosea.  The Spartans are banged up with wing back and defensive back Drew Gallagher out with a torn ACL.  John Cerra did not play last week while recovering from a toe injury.
