Whitney Point Rollover Investigated

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]New York State Police are looking into the cause of a tractor trailer rollover crash on Interstate 81 north near Whitney Point.

The rig went into the median in the area of exit 8 shortly before 11 p.m. October 28 and authorities were on the scene for over five hours.

There were no injuries reported, but one lane of the Interstate was closed overnight.

Authorities say no hazardous materials were involved. It’s believed the rig was carrying boxes of paper.
