Whitney Point Family Lost Everything in Fire

Investigators say they believe a two alarm fire in Whitney Point November 29 that sent a family of nine to hospitals was accidental.  The cause of the blaze on Route 11 that was reported shortly before 5 a.m. is still under investigation.

A one-month old baby and 10 year old child were transported to Syracuse in critical condition while four other children and three adults were taken to Binghamton area hospitals.

The family has lost everything. The Lisle Fire Station opened to take donations of clothing and household items.  Donations and gift cards can be sent to P.O. Box 306, Lisle, NY 13797.

The American Red Cross is also assisting the family.
