The Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome Family Center is celebrating the completion of its new playground.

The children haven’t had a playground since the flood of 2011.

The new, state-of-the-art facility includes monkey bars, three slides, five climbers, multiple-level balance beams, a spring-mounted ride-on motorcycle, airplane, mushroom, a spinning mushroom and an arm-hand exercise piece.

All the components are appropriate for children aged two through 12.

Club officials say there were several fundraisers held to pay for the new equipment and a small army of volunteers donated time and equipment to put the playground together last month.

The Boys and Girls Club is located at One Clubhouse Road in Endicott.
