Dozens of town of Union residents are threatening to go to court in their ongoing battle with a company that makes polyvinyl chloride pipe products.

National Pipe and Plastics moved its Broome County production facility from Vestal to West Endicott last spring.

Residents who are unhappy with the operation met Wednesday night at the George F. Johnson Memorial Library in Endicott to discuss a possible lawsuit against National Pipe and Plastics.

An attorney representing the residents contends the factory is affecting property values and creating a nuisance to those who live near it.

Neighborhood residents had fought unsuccessfully to prevent the plant from opening on the site near Maple Street and Mills Avenue.
