Some residents in West Endicott want to kick out a fairly new neighbor.

Affidavits were collected last night, signed by residents wanting National Pipe and Plastics in their new location on Mills Avenue to be shut down due to complaints about possible toxic gas emissions, loud noises and dangerous traffic.

National Pipe moved operations to West Endicott from Vestal Road in Vestal.

Residents protested the plans for a PVC pipe factory at government meetings prior to the relocation with no success and filed a lawsuit against the company shortly after it moved into the neighborhood.

Homeowners in the community say their property values have dropped since National Pipe began its operations there.

The company has not commented publicly on any of the complaints but has distributed forms to residents to use to report problems.

Neighbors still say the sulfur-like smells, noise and bright lights keep them awake and force them to keep their windows closed.
