No injuries are reported after fire heavily damaged a home on North Road in West Colesville August 28.

Fire officials say an unattended gas grill that was turned on and is responsible for igniting the fire that burned the porch and house.

The flames extended through the first and second floors and into the attic.

Officials say they believe the house will be declared a total loss.

Firefighters from West Colesville, West Windsor, Harpursville and Sanitaria Springs worked at the scene.

The family of seven is being assisted by the Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross.
