The man jailed in connection with the murders of his cousin and her husband in 2006 over a property dispute in Waverly has reportedly died in prison.

The Daily Review in Bradford County, Pennsylvania reports Sumerset County Coroner, Wallace Miller has confirmed 76 year old John DeSisti died early on January 27 at the Laurel Highlands minimum security prison.

DeSisti was found incompetent to stand trial in June of last year due to his deteriorating health.

DeSisti was accused of shooting his cousin, Carol Keeffe and her husband, well-known Twin Tiers attorney, David Keeffe at their home in Athens Township in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

Carol Keefe and DeSisti owned adjoining properties in Waverly and the property line location had been an on-going dispute for years.

DeSisti had been arrested in 2010 on two counts of murder and one count of burglary.

Another competency had been scheduled for DeSisti for this coming April in Bradford County.

At his last court appearance, the orange-jumpsuited DeSisti was rolled into the courtroom, on a hospital gurney.
