Bob Joseph/WNBF News

A 51-year-old man was charged with menacing after a disturbance in the town of Barton.

Authorities say Randy Barrowcliff of Waverly was arrested early Sunday morning.

Investigators say Tioga County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a neighborhood dispute.

Barrowcliff is said to have entered an apartment and then was asked to leave. The man allegedly armed himself with a knife.

Police say the knife reportedly was displayed toward a woman and a 16-year-old boy in a threatening manner.

Barrowcliff was arraigned in Barton town court and sent to Tioga County Jail on $2,500 bail.
