Water Winner in Broome County Announced

The Broome County Health Department is announcing the winner of the annual tap water challenge.

People attending the Broome County Fair sampled water from the City of Binghamton, Town of Conklin, Village of Johnson City, Town of Vestal and Village of Whitney Point.

Close to 50 people cast ballots for their favorite and second favorite tasting water.

The 2017 Tap Water Taste Test champion is Conklin, which will move on to the Central Regional taste test at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse Friday, August 11.  The winner of that contest moves to the final at the New York State Fair.
