A Delaware County woman was charged with criminal impersonation after a traffic stop in Oneonta.

Authorities say 28-year-old Jennifer Irwin of Walton was arrested Thursday.

According to New York State Police, Irwin was pulled over by a trooper on Route 23 for allegedly using a cellphone while driving.

Police say Irwin provided a false name to try to conceal the fact that her driving privileges had been suspended.

Investigators say when Irwin was arrested, she was in possession of a suboxone package with a partial suboxone film inside.

Irwin was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Irwin was arraigned in Oneonta town court and ordered to return to court next month.
