Walton Man Threatens Girlfriend & Police

A Delaware County man is in custody after holding authorities at bay October 6 in Walton.

State Police say 58 year old Arthur Veprovsky had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a gun at the home they shared on Lower Third Brook Road and threatened to shoot law enforcement.

The incident involving troopers started after 3 p.m. and Veprovsky was finally taken into custody when he came to the door of the home at around 9 p.m.  Neighbors had actually reported the man had threatened the woman the previous night.

Authorities say they are still sorting out possible charges in the case but are saying the incident was not a hostage situation.
