Part of a wall on a building that was heavily-damaged in a June arson blaze has collapsed next to a Binghamton street.

People who live near the wrecked structure at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Brown Street had expressed concern about dangers posed by the site.

The building that once housed All Around Building Supplies was gutted by a June 9 fire.

Investigators say it was the latest in a series of arson blazes at the property. No arrests have been made in connection with any of the fires.

Residents who live a short distance from the property say a portion of a wall that had been leaning precariously since the latest blaze collapsed during a storm a few days ago.

Some people who reside in the neighborhood say they were told the remains of the structure would be torn down this week.

Mayor Richard David has said the city was moving to have what was left of the structure demolished.

There's been no official word as to when the site will be cleared. David previously had said the city had hoped the property owner would take responsibility for the demolition.
