A major project to remodel a Visions Federal Credit Union facility in Broome County is underway.

Three drive-up automatic teller machines at the Credit Union Center at 3301 Country Club Road recently were taken out of service. Visions has advised members that the walk-up ATMs at the site will be removed on December 14.

Construction has started for a new drive-up ATM site located east of the Credit Union Center. The three ATMs at the corner of Hooper and Country Club roads should be operational in about three weeks.

Credit union officials are planning to hold a groundbreaking ceremony at the headquarters site next month.

The credit union has utilized the 96,000-square-foot Endwell building for several years. The structure initially was a Maine-Endwell School District property.

Visions got its start as the IBM Endicott Employees Federal Credit Union in 1966. Over the years, its membership expanded to include people not affiliated with IBM. It now operates dozens of offices in upstate New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
