Virgil Man Charged Following Crash

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say a Town of Virgil man is charged with drunk driving after a vehicle drove off Route 392 in Virgil and hit trees and an underground telephone cable box.

30 year old Freddy Duarte-Ramos is also charged with failure to keep right, crossing hazard markings and refusing to take a breath test.

Deputies say Ramos suffered minor injuries in the crash but refused medical treatment.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $2,000 bail.
