The relocation of National Pipe and Plastics from Vestal to Endicott is part of a regional development package targeting dozens of projects for state funding. The projects to be funded through a New York State job creating grant were recently up for discussion at a meeting in Binghamton of the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council attended by Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy.

National Pipe is slated to get over $350,000 to assist in its move from Vestal Road.

Also highlighted at the meeting was the much-touted Binghamton high-tech incubator program. That project is due to get $7 million under the state program.

The state has awarded the Southern Tier $91.1 million for job-creating project in the second round of stimulus grants.  Last year, the region netted close to $49.5 million from the program.
