The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class A State Baseball Champion Vestal Golden Bears were honored last night between games of a doubleheader with the Akron RubberDucks and Binghamton Rumble Ponies at NYSEG Stadium.  Players and coaches were introduced on the field prior to the start of the second game.

The Golden Bears won their state championship at NYSEG Stadium on June 10th with a 2-0 victory over Wantagh.  Dom Dirado went the distance on the mound in that title game. He allowed only three hits and struck out five as he clinched the title match-up.  The day before New York State's Class A Player of the Year Kyle Taborne shutout Whitesboro 7-0 in a state semi-final.
