The Vestal School District Superintendent says voters are being asked to open a savings account for the district.

A proposition is being put before residents asking for approval for a capital reserve fund for future improvement projects.

Superintendent Mark LaRoach says, if voters okay the proposal, up to $10 million could go into the account but the establishment of the fund would not impact taxes.

Should a capital reserve fund be established, residents would have to go back to the polls each time the district wanted to draw funds to approve those specific projects.
