New York State Police say a Vestal teen is facing drug related charges after Vestal Police contacted them.

Police in the town say as they were talking to 19 year old Tessa Riveras about another matter, they discovered she was wanted on a State Police arrest warrant out of the Town of Triangle for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Troopers say when they arrived to the scene on Martha Road in Vestal, they found Riveras had heroin in her purse.

The teen was ticketed by Vestal Police and then arraigned on the original arrest warrant and sent to the Broome County Jail on one-thousand dollars bail.
