A four-month-old puppy has been reported stolen from a Broome County pet store.

Authorities say the white Maltese dog was said to have been taken from the Pet Depot shop in Vestal’s Town Square Mall. The puppy is valued at $800.

Investigators say the theft occurred just before 1:00 p.m. March 7.

According to Vestal police, two men in their early- to mid-twenties were involved in the larceny.

The thieves may have left the Vestal Parkway shopping center in a newer model, purple Chevrolet Malibu.
