Vestal Nursing Center Public Hearing Scheduled

A public hearing is to be held Wednesday on a zoning change needed for construction of a skilled nursing facility in the town of Vestal.

The Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center had been located on Vestal Road until the facility sustained extensive damage in the September 2011 flood.

The center has proposed building a new facility on West Sheedy Road, just of Route 26.

A public hearing on changing the site's zoning from commercial to planned development district is be to held by the Vestal town board.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Vestal town hall.
