Binghamton police say a Vestal resident faces felony charges following a sex offense and child endangerment investigation.

Authorities Monday afternoon announced the arrest of 47-year-old Timothy Lee of Harvard Street.

Detectives say Lee was booked last Wednesday by city police on an arrest warrant.

Lee has been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sex act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Investigators say Lee had been contacted by detectives and turned himself in at police headquarters.

Lee was arraigned in Broome County Court and released on his own recognizance.

The investigation had been conducted by Binghamton police and the Broome County District Attorney's Office.

Officials say no additional information about the arrest or investigation will be released at this time.
