Vestal House Destroyed By Early-Morning Fire

Three fire departments battled a blaze that tore through a home in the Town of Vestal.

Authorities say the fire at 139 Gardner Road was reported at 1:38 a.m. Friday.

Vestal firefighters were assisted by units from the Town of Binghamton and Silver Lake. The Endwell and Apalachin fire departments were placed on stand-by for Vestal.

The Red Cross was called to assist the residents of the home destroyed by the fire.
