The Annnual Vestal Fire Department Fire Expo was held Saturday at Lowe's in Vestal.  There were numerous displays of fire and other safety equipment for visitors to take a look at and ask questions about.  The Fire Expo ran from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.

Displays and demonstrations were available for the public to see.  Along with various Vestal Fire Department equipment and personnel Vestal Police and the New York State Police were on hand.  Water rescue equipment and boats were on display.

The Broome County Sheriff's Department had their large armored vehicle there.  It can be used as a command post and also as a vehicle to get police close to the scene of a problem safely.

There were a number of visitors during the event who were able to get information and ask questions about public safety.  They could also speak to members of police and fire departments about careers in both fields.
