Vandalism Closes Whitney Point Schools

New York State Police are investigating the breaking of a number of windshields and windows at the Whitney Point Central Schools property that has resulted in the cancellation of classes for Monday, May 2.

The damage to over a dozen vehicles and building windows was discovered Sunday morning.

Several local school districts have offered the service of some of their buses but Whitney Point officials said they had to call off classes for the day.

The district plans to resume classes on Tuesday, May 3.
