Suspect in Herkimer Shooting/Standoff Shot Dead by Police

Police say 64 year old Kurt Myers of Herkimer is dead after he allegedly set his home on fire, shot two barbershop customers dead in Mohawk and wounded the store owner and another customer.  Myers then reportedly returned to Herkimer to Gaffy's Jiffy Lube in Herkimer where two more men were shot to death.

The police say when they entered the abandoned building in Herkimer where Myers was holed up all night, he was waiting for them.  Shots were fired and police returned fire.

The authorites say Myers was shot dead but not before he shot and killed an FBI K-9.

No motive for the rampage has been given.
