Unsafe Tire Crash in Bovina

Unsafe tires are believed to have contributed to a roll-over crash in Delaware County on Thursday, October 13.

Sheriff’s officials say 18 year old Noah Beutel of Margaretville lost control of his vehicle at around 11:30 a.m. on State Highway 28 in Bovina, crossed the center line and crashed into an earth embankment.  The 2001 Mazda rolled several times and came to rest on its roof.

Beutel was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Deputies say in addition to unsafe tires, driver inattention is believed to have contributed.

Beutel was ticketed for unsafe tires.
