Greater Binghamton Airport [flybgm.com][/caption]Officials at the Greater Binghamton Airport say some new flights to the New York City area are being added in the upcoming weeks.

Officials say United Airlines will have three flights going from Broome County to the Newark Liberty International Airport.

The new flights will replace three existing flights between Binghamton and the Washington Dulles International Airport.

The new flight schedule starts June 6th and will offer passengers access to 119 connecting flight destinations as the Newark Airport is one of United Airlines largest hubs.

Local officials say there are talks with other providers to see if air service can eventually be restored to the Washington DC area using a different carrier.
