Unadilla Man Discharges Shotgun Near Homes

Broome County Sheriff's Officials say they have arrested a Unadilla man and have accused him of discharging a firearm in close proximity to neighboring homes.

Police say they arrested 29-year-old Randolph Staats on Saturday and say he was intoxicated and shooting rounds from a 16 Gage shotgun near homes on Kolb Road in the Town of Maine.  No injuries were reported in the incident.

Staats is charged with Reckless Endangerment and two counts of Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of Homes.  He was sent to the Broome County Jail on two-thousand dollars bail.
