The University at Buffalo Bulls proved too  strong for the Binghamton Bearcats in men's basketball at Alumni Arena in Amherst Saturday, December 12.  The Bulls led 38-30 at the half and rolled to an 80-64 decision.  The win put Buffalo's record at 5-5 while the Bearcats fall to 2-7.

Marlon Beck was outstanding for Binghamton scoring a game-high 24 points.  Beck scored on six three-pointers which tied his career high on three-pointers made in a single game.  Freshman guard Everson Davis and sophomore forward Willie Rodriguez each scored ten points for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats stormed out of the gate to start the second half to score the first four points in the period.  That cut the lead in half to make it 38-34.  But the Bulls roared back to go on a 12-0 run and never trailed the rest of the way.

Binghamton returns home to host St. Francis of Pa. on Tuesday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Events Center.  It is part of a doubleheader that night with the BU women hosting Nyack College at 5:00 p.m.
