The Union-Endicott Tigers edged the Vestal Golden Bears 21-17 to capture the Section 4 High School Football Championship at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton last night.  U-E standout quarterback Devon Hogan ran in from six yards out to score the deciding points with :55 remaining in the game and move the Tigers into a state quarterfinal round game next weekend at U-E's Ty Cobb Stadium against Section Three winner Whitesboro.

Earlier in the contest Hogan carried in for a nine-yard touchdown with 3:36 left in the third quarter.  The other Tigers' TD came on a three-yard run from Darrius Billingsley.

Vestal's Matt Thrasher rushed for both of the Golden Bears' touchdowns.  Thrasher scored on runs of one and two yards in the first half.

With the win the Tigers up their record to 9-1.  Vestal falls to 5-4 as their season comes to a close.
