Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they have shut down two methamphetamine labs in the course of about two hours.

About 5:15 a.m. August 12, Deputies were called to the Pit Stop Truck Stop and Gas Station on Route 11 in Cortlandville for a suspicious bottle in a trash container.

Officers determined it was a “One Pot” meth manufacturing item.

The bottle was safely removed after a process that took about three and a half hours and left a couple gas pumps at the business out of commission for part of the day.

The rest of the truck stop/gas station maintained normal operations for the day.

At around 7:30 a.m. Deputies say they discovered another meth lab while serving a warrant on Route 41 in Freetown.

57 year old Robert Stone was taken into custody on the warrant out of Syracuse.  He is expected to also face charges in Cortland County.

25 year old Andrea Quaile was also arrested.

Quaile is charged with felony unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
