Two people have been indicted on attempted murder counts in connection with the shooting of a man in Johnson City.

27-year-old Larry Patterson and 18-year-old Norma Hayes were taken into custody shortly after the March 24 shooting on Corliss Avenue.

A Broome County grand jury Friday afternoon handed up the indictments.

Patterson, who lives in Greenwood, South Carolina, faces counts of attempted murder, attempted assault, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.

Hayes, who lives in Johnson City, was indicted on counts of attempted murder, attempted assault, robbery, attempted burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.

The two are accused in the shooting of 47-year-old Sivad Davis. Police say the man was treated at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City after he was shot in the back.
