Endwell Men Charged After Sexual Assault

State police say several charges have been filed following a reported sexual assault in the town of Union.

Authorities say 27-year-old Jeffrey Demkovich of Taft Avenue, Endwell, was charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, both felonies.

Investigators say 24-year-old Ryan Valcourt-Dean of Mill Glen Road, Endwell, faces a misdemeanor count of forcible touching.

Police say Demkovich also was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officials say he was found to be in possession of heroin.

Demkovich was sent to Broome County Jail without bail. Valcourt-Dean was issued an appearance ticket for Union town court.
