Broome County Sheriff’s officials say after a vehicle was pulled over on the George F. Highway in the Town of Unionfor traffic violations, several packets of heroin were found in the vehicle.

Officials say it was determined 35 year old Lloyd Rice of Endicott was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license.

It was then found that there were 23 packets of heroin in the vehicle as well as a small amount of marijuana.

Rice is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and four other traffic offenses.

Rice’s passenger, 18 year old Tiffany Vanhousen, of Endicott is also charged with criminal possession with intent to sell.

Investigators say they determined Rice had an outstanding felony warrant out of New York City for dangerous drugs.

Both Rice and Vanhousen were sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
