Vestal Police are investigating a collision between a sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle September 17 that left the two people on the motorcycle dead.

62 year old David Jennings and his wife, 64 year old Rita Jennings were killed when the SUV apparently pulled out in front of their motorcycle from the parking lot of the Vestal Town Hall at Town Hall Road and Route 434 at 3:40 p.m.

72 year old Judith Courter of Vestal, who was driving the SUV also suffered injuries and was hospitalized.

Courter has been ticketed for failure to yield the right of way to the motorcycle.

Police say it appears the Jennings were not speeding and alcohol id not appear to be a contributing factor.

Route 434 was closed for close to three hours as the investigation was underway and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Team worked at the scene.
