Two Dead in Bradford County Head On Crash

Two people are dead following a head-on crash in Bradford County yesterday morning.

State Police say 44-year-old Scott Halbfoerster of Dushore was apparently attempting to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone on Route 220 near Route 6 in Towanda when he stuck another vehicle head on.  The crash occurred shortly before 10:30 yesterday morning.

Halbfoerster and the driver of the other vehicle, 65-year-old John Ambrosone of Hammondsport were both killed.  Halbfoerster's 12-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in his vehicle, was airlifted to Geisinger Medical Center.  Her condition is now known at this time.
