The investigation is continuing into a crash May 22 that claimed the lives of two Cortland County girls and sent a third teen to the hospital with serious injuries.

New York State Police say 17 year old Andrea Czimmer of Cortland lost control of the vehicle she was driving on Interstate 81 South in the Town of Preble at 7:32 p.m.

The car left the highway and rolled several times.

Czimmer was pronounced dead at the scene while rear-seat passenger, 17 year old Alexis Porter of Cortland was ejected and pronounced dead at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

18 year old Michael Conlon of Cortland was also riding in the vehicle and was taken to Upstate Medical Center with rib and internal injuries.

All the teens were students at the Cortland High School. District officials say grief counselors are being made available to students.
