Two Cortland Residents Charged in Heroin Sale Investigation
Two Cortland residents are being charged in an on-going investigation into the sale of heroin in the area.
New York State Police say 25 year old William Clark and 17 year old Casson Hathaway were arrested January 31st after State Police, U-S Drug Enforcement Administration and Cortland County Sheriff’s officials executed search warrants in the City of Cortland, seizing 172 packets of heroin, the synthetic drug, “molly”, cocaine and marijuana as well as packaging materials, hypodermic needles and cash.
The searches were made at an apartment on Northcliffe Road, Maple Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.
Clark and Hathaway are charged each with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.
Officials say more charges and arrests are pending.
