Arrests have been made in connection with a prescription drug robbery in the village of Owego.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Dale Menendez and 35-year-old Lisa Kleine have been charged with second-degree robbery.

Investigators say the two suspects live on Talcott Street in Owego.

Menendez is accused of using force to steal medicine from a person in the parking lot of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 153 Main Street. The robbery occurred on December 9.

Police say Kleine allegedly assisted Menendez in the robbery.

The suspects were arraigned in Owego town court and sent to Tioga County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Owego police are continuing to investigate a January 5 armed robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy. Investigators say in that incident a man displayed a gun and got away with prescription painkillers.
