Two Broome County Teens and an Endicott Man Arrested in Robbery Attempt

A 24 year old Endicott man and two Broome County teens are accused of threatening a Yellow Cab taxi cab driver at the Town and Country Apartments on Roberts Street in Binghamton on October 19.

19 year old Jarrell Austin of Endicott, 24 year old Rayquan Washington of Endicott and a 15 year old are accused of approaching the cabbie shortly before 1 a.m. and displaying what appeared to be a handgun.

The driver locked his doors and sped off.

Police say they recovered a BB gun in the area and the three suspects were picked up nearby.

Austin and Washington are charged with attempted robbery while the 15 year old was placed in custody of a local children’s home.

The cab driver was uninjured.
