The City of Binghamton is delivering a possible death sentence to two more properties.

Officials say 25 Charlotte Street was found to be unfit for human habitation and is condemned due to a clogged sewer line causing sewage to flow into a second floor unit, pour onto the floor and drip into a first floor apartment, a broken sewer main in the basement flooding the basement with sewage, lack of fire detectors and unsafe wiring.

51 The Circuit Street was also found unfit due to clogged and broken sewage lines with a raw sewage leak in the basement, chipmunk infestation, lack of working smoke detectors and the dilapidated condition of the front porch.

If the building owners can fix the problems and pass a new inspection, the buildings might be cleared for habitation again.
