Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say two people are facing charges after being stopped while walking on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville at around 9 a.m. March 13.

Authorities say the Deputy recognized 28 year old Jarod O’Neill of Marathon was wanted on a warrant and found he was in possession of stolen credit cards and identification documents.

The other man, 23 year old Jeffrey Quackenbush of Cortland was found to be in possession of hypodermic needles, allegedly gave a false name and was found to also be wanted on a warrant.

O’Neill is charged with six new counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

Quakenbush is charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and criminal impersonation.

Both were sent to the Cortland County Jail.
