Two Chenango County men are facing charges for allegedly stealing guns from a home in Bainbridge.

Sheriff's officials say 29 year old Eric Nelson of Afton and 29 year old Rory Tanner of the Town of Coventry are accused of selling one of the weapons to an undercover officer.

The authorities say an AR15 rifle and a 12 gage semi-automatic shotgun were taken from the home.

The two suspects then sold the 12 gage to the police officer in Coventry.  Deputies say they also found hypodermic needles, spoons with heroin residue and glassine envelopes.

Nelson is charged with 3 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, 2 counts of criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

Deputies say Nelson is also a wanted New York State Parolee and had an arrest warrant for weapon possession in Bainbridge where he allegedly possessed and sold two weapons.

Tanner is charged with burglary, two counts of criminal possession of stolen property and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
