A fire prompted the evacuation of patients from a floor of Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

The two-alarm blaze was in an office on the fifth floor. It was reported around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to a statement released by the hospital, patients from the fifth floor were moved to the sixth floor. No injuries were reported.

The blaze was quickly extinguished. A hospital spokeswoman said a sprinkler system was activated by the fire. Some smoke and water damage was reported on the fifth floor. The spokeswoman also said some water spread to the fourth floor, below the area of the fire.

All hospital departments were expected to be open on Monday. Some procedures which had been planned for Monday were rescheduled.

Hospital representatives did not indicate when the fifth floor would reopen.
